Sources confirm Ariel Vromen’s crime thriller “The Iceman” got Winona Ryder on board. She will play Deborah Kuklinski, the naive unsuspecting wife of the hired assassin Robert, who later discovers the true colours of her regular businessman like husband.
Ryder replaced Maggie Gyllenhaal, which marks another casting shift in the thriller where Chris Evans replaced James Franco as the assassin pro Robert Pronge earlier. Evens will join Ray Liotta who plays the role of the mob boss Roy Demeo.
Written by Ariel Vromen he script is based on Anthony Bruno’s book ‘The Iceman: The True Story of a Cold-Blooded Killer’. The story features the notorious mafia killer Kuklinski (played by Michael Shannon) who froze victims’ bodies to disguise the time of death and hid his crimes from the law.
