Green Day’s all set to go ahead with their movie version of “American Idiot”. And they want Robert Pattinson on the lead!
The film is produced by Tom Hanks along with the band. Currently, in pre-production status, they are hunting down actors.
During an interview Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has said that he would want Twilight heartthrob RobPatzz to play the lead! He said, “I’m going to say that kid in Twilight. He’s a good actor. There’s still more to come with that kid.” However, Armstrong played the lead role in the broadway production early this year.
The film will be directed by Michael Mayer and set for a 2013 release. Green Day is currently busy recording a new album following their 2009 hit album “21st Century Breakdown”.
