Star Trek is finally set a release date! According to news surfaced the confirmed release date is May 13, 2013.
The epic space tale will be JJ Abrams sequel to original Star Trek which Paramount plans to shoot in 3D. The filming will begin by January 2011. Although the title is not yet confirmed, the script is written by Alex Kurtzman, Robert Orci and Damon Lindelof. As of now, the details such as the plot are kept under wraps. However the rumours hint that Benicio Del Toro could be the villain while most of the original cast would be seen in the sequel.
According to reports the director/producer JJ Abrams has visited several places to finalise locations. One report said that he travelled to Hawaii to locate a possible “Jungle Planet”. A Los Angeles museum would be the main Star Trek location and studio shooting will take place in Paramount studios.
