Linking Park is busy working on a follow up album to A Thousand Suns. Speaking to MTV, frontman Chester Bennington said their work is slowly but steadily progressing. The band is said to have got producer Rick Rubin on board for the new project.
Talking in length about the new album, Chester further added that “We just kind of began. We like to keep the creative juices flowing, so we try to keep that going all the time . We don’t know when the next record is going to be done. We are in the beginning phases of that. We’re still winding down A Thousand Suns and touring for that, so I can tell you we are working and we’re excited, and we like the direction that we’re going in.”
This summer, Linking Park’s Moscow Red Square concert had a record turnout, making it one of the most successful in the band’s career.
